enthusiast and his energetic crew of teen hip-hoppers are back getting
kids stretching, dancing and grooving their way to better health in
Hip Hop for Kids: School House Hop!, the newest title in the
award-winning series coming to DVD July 15, 2008 from Jumping Fish Productions. Created
by dancer/mom Liz Milwe
and film director Michel
Negroponte, the Hip Hop for Kids series introduces kids
to a fun and fantastic new way to get in shape. Featuring the
latest Hip Hop moves, each video breaks down dance into easy-to-follow,
step-by-step instruction using both repetition and verbal and visual
instruction. Once the music kicks in and the tempo steps up, just
try keeping kids’ butts on the sofa! Filmed
within the halls of a local high school,
Hip Hop for Kids: School House Hop! DVD features Hip Hop master
Roger G. – who has performed with such acclaimed artists as Stevie
Wonder and Jay Z and appeared on MTV's ultra-hip Def Comedy Jam –
and his team of young, talented and very fly dancers teaching the Snap,
the Motorcycle, the Chicken Noodle Soup and the Walk It Out. Freestyle
dancing is also encouraged, paving the way for individual creativity
and dance exploration. A bonus section, “My Style,” which
showcases each dancer doing their own thing, will surely inspire viewers
to experiment, discover and ultimately bust out their own unique moves.
