Equal parts Big and Breakin’ 2: Electric Boogaloo, the uproarious comedy follows the rise and fall of Justin Schumacher, a young superstar on the 1980s breakdancing scene whose blossoming romance with a childhood friend is cut short when a miscalculated spin-move lands him in a coma. Upon awakening 20 years later, Justin finds his world drastically altered and is forced to step out of his parachute pants and into the 21st century with the help of his old posse, the “Funky Fresh Boys.” Justin and his crew must now prove that they can compete against kool krumping and hot hip-hopping by doggin’ it on the dance floor and kickin’ it . . . old skool. Kickin’ It Old Skool features spirited performances from an ensemble cast including Jamie Kennedy (Scream,Malibu’s Most Wanted), Maria Menounos (“One Tree Hill,” “Access Hollywood”), Michael Rosenbaum (“Smallville,” Sorority Boys), Bobby Lee (“Mad TV”), Aris Alvarado (“Gilmore Girls”), Miguel A. Nunez Jr. (“Joey,” Juwanna Man), Debra Jo Rupp (“That 70’s Show”) and Christopher McDonald (Happy Gilmore). SYNOPSIS
It’s 1986, when greed is good, legwarmers are great and break-dancing is the greatest! But, right in the middle of a break dancing contest, Justin Schumacher (Jamie Kennedy) hits his head so hard he winds up in a coma! When he wakes up 20 years later, his poodle haircut is out of style, the woman of his dreams (Maria Menounos) is engaged to his worst rival, and his parents are drowning in his medical bills. Now Justin must jump-start his break dancing career in order to regain a normal life – and his girlfriend.
